As a vital ser­vice to the com­mu­nity, Val­ley Children’s Med­ical Cen­ter pro­motes early lit­er­acy through its par­tic­i­pa­tion in Reach Out and Read (ROR) pro­gram. It pro­vides books to chil­dren six months of age and beyond.

Reach Out and Read (ROR) is a national non-profit orga­ni­za­tion that pro­motes early lit­er­acy by giv­ing new books to chil­dren and advice to par­ents about the impor­tance of reading.
